UN Global Compact

At Visalia, we understand that sustainability is not merely a goal; it is an ongoing commitment.

For us, sustainability is not just a statement, it is a tangible action that translates into our commitment to energy efficiency and renewable energy.

During the week of 25 September, at Visalia we will celebrate the 8th anniversary of the 2030 Agenda. We are joining together to wave the Sustainable Development Goals flag in collaboration with the UN Global Compact Spain as a demonstration of our commitment.

More than 1,000 organisations and individuals are joining the #SDGsforflag. In an interconnected world, the challenges we face unite us more than they divide us. Climate change, corruption, inequality, and other challenges demand our collaboration.

We are committed to the Global Compact

Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative.

Currently, there are over 21,000 member organisations across more than 160 countries, supported by 70 local networks. In Spain, more than 1,500 organisations have joined the initiative, making it one of the five local networks with the highest number of member organisations and, therefore, one of the most significant at international level.

The initiative in Spain is notable due to its high number of participants, the number of Progress Reports or sustainability reports submitted, as well as its performance and the solutions offered to its member companies.

Joining the UN Global Compact means that Visalia is committed to aligning its operations with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment, and anti-corruption,

and to take measures to support the goals of the United Nations currently outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Visalia joins thousands of companies worldwide in committing to responsible business practices to create the world we all desire.

Our CEO, Pablo Abejas, has confirmed that “at Visalia, we are committed to our Corporate Social Responsibility and are creating a network of transformative initiatives that align with our values.” He emphasises that “sustainability is a primary necessity; our actions not only define our business success but also the lasting impact we leave on society and the planet.” Our practices reflect our determination to be leaders in the fight against climate change and to promote cleaner and more responsible business practices.
