OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

We reaffirm our commitment to sustainability throughout our entire value chain. We are currently analysing the climate impact of the activities carried out by each business line by calculating and analysing their carbon footprint, in order to plan future actions to be taken in terms of greenhouse gas mitigation and/or offsetting.

We understand the impact of our operations. Visalia’s recent greenhouse gas emissions verification statement confirms that our carbon footprint for 2022 amounted to 386.19 kg of CO2 equivalent. In the second half of the year, emissions generated during 2022 will be offset by the restoration of 29 hectares in Cebreros. Commitment to a 1% reduction for 2023. In the first half of the year, we calculated the carbon footprint for 2023 to be 323 tCO2e. In 2023, we surpassed expectations by achieving a reduction commitment of 19%, compared to the original target of 1%. This has been made possible by the renewal of the vehicle fleet and the upgrade of the offices to more efficient spaces, as well as the employees’ commitment to good environmental practices.
