VISALIA ESTABLISHES ITSELF AS A KEY PLAYER IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE IN THE CITIES OF THE FUTURE
Visalia is promoting local solar communities within residential buildings and businesses, enabling them not only to become producers of their own renewable energy but also to share it with their neighbours and businesses within a two-kilometre radius. By offering an alternative model of renewable energy generation compared to what other companies currently provide, we refer to it as ‘shared energy’.

Visalia brings solar energy to all cities. Specifically, it encourages residents to unite and become the producers of their own renewable energy in urban areas. This self-consumption model, using shared solar energy generated locally empowers citizens by enabling them to own their energy, thus generating resources and independence. Visalia aims to be the leading choice for the installation and marketing of solar panels in urban resents’ associations. At times, it may seem like a ‘David versus Goliath’ situation, but the company firmly believes that access to energy is a right.
Visalia offers residents’ associations the chance to rent out their roofs to instal solar panels at no cost. This initiative generates monthly income for 25 years while also reducing their energy bills. The energy produced is supplied to consumers within a radius of 2 km, including the local community, which receives 1% of energy for self-consumption free of charge and discounts of up to 30% on its electricity usage. The entire system encompasses customised design, comprehensive maintenance, and protection against any incidents, promoting a model of clean, local, and shared energy.

Among Visalia’s renewable energy projects, we would like to highlight the initiative under the incentive programme related to self-consumption and storage, alongside the implementation of renewable thermal systems in the residential sector as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
