Visalia aims to develop 4.0 cities that are free from smoke, noise, and pollution, where energy well-being does not compromise the economy. With the pillars of trust, patience, and a long-term vision, a “rooftop restyling” is proposed, where they are transformed into revenue generators and sources of renewable energy.
Visalia seeks to make renewable energy accessible to all, enabling communities and businesses to become producers of their own energy and to contribute to urban decarbonisation.
Visalia offers residents’ associations the opportunity to lease their roofs for 25 years for the installation of solar panels at no cost. The company is responsible for investing in and selling the energy it generates to consumers located within a 2 km radius, including the local community itself. This approach promotes energy savings and encourages the use of local, sustainable energy.
It promotes environmental awareness among citizens through workshops and programmes, while also providing a unique model for generating renewable energy. According to reports, local photovoltaic energy from Visalia plays a crucial role in achieving emission reduction goals.

“Visalia’s purpose is to transform cities into cities that are adapted to climate change, noise-free cities, 4.0 cities, pollution-free cities, and contamination-free cities… But they also need to be transformed into much more sustainable cities. Thanks to our partnership with Luz Solidaria, we can invest our profits in these communities and select families in need—vulnerable families—with the aim of becoming more sustainable, both environmentally and socially.
Pablo Abejas, Visalia’s CEO

Solar energy in
residents’ associations
Visalia offers residents’ associations the opportunity to generate income from their roofs through photovoltaic energy, while also saving on their energy bills.
The system operates as follows: communities lease their roofs to the company for a period of 25 years, during which the company will finance and install the photovoltaic panels. As the owner of this facility, Visalia will sell the energy generated to all consumers within a 2-kilometre radius, including the residents’ association, the building’s residents, and all homes, businesses, and SMEs located within this distance, thereby ensuring that the energy travels the shortest possible distance to its point of consumption.
Actual impact
The proposed production model has a dual impact: it lowers the energy costs for the residents’ association while generating resources and independence. Additionally, it contributes to reducing the carbon footprint and alleviating energy poverty. This option comes with a range of features:
- Monetise your roof without any investment. Installation of solar panels at no cost to the property owner.
- Stable long-term rental. A 25-year contract with guaranteed monthly rent.
- Energy for the residents’ association. 1% of the production is allocated for free self-consumption for the entire duration of the contract.
- Design and maintenance are included. Project customised for each roof, with operation and maintenance provided by Visalia.
- Maximum security. Installation insured against damage and with coverage for all liabilities.
